Why Collect Australian Coins?

Coin collecting is all about supply, condition and demand. There are many coins around the world were only a few thousand exist, but because no one wants these coins you can pick them up for a couple of bucks. However, the opposite is also true. There are coins were hundreds of thousands if not millions exist, but due to a higher demand they have a higher price. The benefit of collecting Australian coins is they sit right in the middle.

The 1946 Penny is a semi-key date.

Australian coins collectors are in the minority compared to larger groups such as the US coin collectors. But the number of aussie coin collectors is steadily growing, which is why now is the perfect time to start collecting.

Most Australian coins are inexpensive with the majority of key dates being at an attainable level (under a couple hundred dollars). It's a lot easier (and cheaper) to pick up a nice high grade set of Australian coins than it is a US coin set. Now is the time to invest and collect these coins, prices are only going rise as the popularity of these coins increase.
